Shooting Tight

This weeks theme ended up being plants! Thanks to an evening stroll at .  I was zoomed in as far as I could at a whole 55 mm. So I stand to really close to them, but at least they aren't wild animals. I did throw in a duck photo and an old caiman photo I took in Costa Rica at Cano Palma. I believe the lens I was using to shoot the caiman was a 75-300mm. I think I was mostly zoomed in, but I love that photo and thought I would share it here.

My settings are below in my captions.

When it comes to shooting tight it changes the story, right? It narrows the context of the story, but it brings you in closer to your subject. When it is a person, hopefully the image strikes connection with maybe the emotion that is going on within it, like Andrew Henderson did in all of his. Also, because that context is missing, the subject becomes a mystery and hopefully leads the audience to looking at the story or caption to resolve the unknown they see in the image.
